Depending on where you live, you may have never heard about one of the BEST theme parks in the U.S.
Living on the West Coast of California, in the Bay Area to be exact, has a lot of advantages. The weather is mild, the people tend to be laid back, and there's an eclectic buzz when you are out and about. We also have several outstanding theme parks in the state. I mean, Southern California is the home of Disney and arguably the entertainment capital of the world.

However, the best theme park in the U.S.A is not in California. It's not even in Florida, the new theme park capital of the world. That honor goes to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
What Makes Dollywood so good?
The rides are one thing, but the overall experience is at a different level. Yes, it's better than Magical Disney. Blasphemy, I know! What folks that have never been to Dollywood, or have never even heard of it, don't understand, is that it's a park that embraces every detail of the theme park experience... all with Southern hospitality and one of the best rollercoasters I've ever ridden - Lighting Rod.
If you have never been to Dollywood, we highly recommend it. While it does take a little extra effort to get to if you do not live in the area, it is well worth the trip.
